Librewolf is a hardened Firefox-based browser focused on privacy, security and user freedom.
Features
The browser comes with saner default; enhanced tracking protection enabled in strict mode, private
search with search suggestions disabled, lack of telemetry, autofill disabled, HTTPS-Only Mode,
inclusion of a content blocker, etc.
Extensions
The browser uses uBlock Origin for filtering contents and blocking ads/trackers.
Configuration
Users do not have to go through the manual configuration necessary on Firefox, except maybe for DNS
over HTTPS.
Recommendations
Users are recommended to use it on the desktop if they want a Firefox-based alternative and
for whom Mullvad Browser is unsuitable.
Limitations
Librewolf is a very small project and its sustainability not guaranteed. Users should pay close
attention to its development and update cycle.
